Zamna Returns to Egypt’s Sinai Desert With Sasha & John Digweed, Mind Against, SHIMZA & More

Zamna returns to Egypt’s Khoroum Valley this November for three days in the Sinai Desert, with Sasha & John Digweed, Mind Against, SHIMZA, Korolova, MRAK and Mëstiza leading its first lineup announcement.

Electronic music is heading back into the Sinai Desert. Following its debut in Egypt last year, Zamna will return to Khoroum Valley from November 20–22, 2026, transforming the natural desert landscape outside Sharm El Sheikh into a three-day electronic music destination. And for its second edition, it’s getting considerably bigger. Capacity is increasing to 20,000, production is being expanded and the first phase of artists brings together Sasha & John Digweed, Mind Against, MRAK, SHIMZA, Korolova and Mëstiza, with more names still to come. Sasha & John Digweed Reunite in the Desert At the centre of the announcement is one of electronic music’s most enduring partnerships. Sasha and John Digweed will reunite in the Sinai Desert, bringing together two artists whose influence on progressive house stretches back more than three decades. The pair helped shape the sound and culture surrounding progressive electronic music throughout the 1990s and beyond, making their appearance against the landscape of Khoroum Valley one of the more intriguing bookings on this winter’s festival calendar. Around them, Zamna has built a lineup that moves across different corners of contemporary house and melodic electronic music. Italian duo Mind Against bring their atmospheric approach to the desert alongside MRAK, while Ukrainian artist Korolova joins the first wave following her continued rise across the international melodic house circuit. They’re joined by Spanish duo Mëstiza and South African artist SHIMZA, adding Afro and globally influenced sounds to the programme. From Tulum to the Sinai Desert Zamna’s identity has always been tied closely to location. Born in Tulum, Mexico, the brand has expanded internationally by pairing electronic music with natural environments and large-scale immersive production. Its Egyptian home takes that concept somewhere particularly striking. Khoroum Valley, located outside Sharm El Sheikh, forms a natural amphitheatre surrounded by towering granite rock formations. During the day, the surrounding landscape features hiking trails and Bedouin camps. At night, lighting, staging and electronic music transform the valley into an open-air venue. After hosting Zamna for the first time in 2025, the location is now preparing for a significantly expanded second edition. A Bigger Second Chapter For 2026, capacity will rise to 20,000, alongside increased production and a broader international lineup. The expansion suggests Zamna sees the Sinai edition as more than a one-off experiment, positioning Khoroum Valley as another permanent destination within its growing international circuit. General Admission and VIP options will be available, with VIP access including dedicated viewing areas, bars, lounges and premium facilities alongside access to the wider festival. And with only the first phase of artists revealed so far, the full scale of the second edition is still taking shape.
