Universal Studios has officially dated 'Snoop' for an August 6, 2027, theatrical release. Directed by Craig Brewer (Hustle & Flow), the film is the debut project from Death Row Pictures, the film arm of Snoop’s own label.
Johnathan Daviss is slated to lead as the West Coast heavyweight. The production follows Universal’s proven blueprint for hip-hop cinema, established by previous hits like 8 Mile and Straight Outta Compton.
The film aims to explore Snoop's multifaceted career trajectory using his extensive musical catalog. Produced alongside Brian Grazer, it marks a significant move in the rapper’s ongoing expansion of the Death Row brand.
