Organizers halted the North Wales event after a teenager suffered a fatal medical emergency early Saturday morning.
Tonnau Festival in Anglesey ceased all operations this weekend following the death of an 18-year-old attendee. Emergency services were called to the Carreglwyd Estate at 1:45 AM on Saturday morning after a report of a severe medical emergency. The teenager was transported to a local hospital, where she later died.
North Wales Police are currently treating the death as unexpected. Investigations into the circumstances are ongoing, and authorities have urged the public to refrain from speculation. Witnesses or those with relevant information are being asked to contact the police using reference O110259.
Festival organizers cancelled Saturday and Sunday programming immediately to facilitate official inquiries and requested all guests vacate the site. In a statement, Tonnau staff noted that welfare and medical teams provided immediate onto-site care before paramedics arrived.
The event—which featured Mr. Scruff, Jamz Supernova, and Lady Lykez—is a family-oriented gathering. The organization stated they will not be making further comments out of respect for the family's privacy.
