Severe drought conditions in Boom have forced Tomorrowland to scale down its visual production for the festival's second weekend.
Belgian authorities have implemented a 'code orange' wildfire warning for the De Schorre provincial domain, leading to a partial ban on high-risk pyrotechnics at Tomorrowland. The decision follows a total prohibition during the festival's first weekend.
For the second run, fireworks will be limited to small-scale effects with low dispersal risks. Large-scale shells are off the table, and pyrotechnics are now strictly confined to the main stage to protect the surrounding woodland.
The safety pivot comes as local officials continue to investigate previous fire incidents. Reports suggest the 2025 main stage fire resulted from an ethanol leak during pre-festival testing, highlighting the volatile nature of large-scale stage effects in dry environments.
Despite the reduced spectacle, the lineup proceeds as planned. Performances from Miss Monique, Amelie Lens, and Sara Landry will anchor a weekend where logistical safety now takes priority over explosive visuals.
