East London venue The Cause transitions from club to broadcaster hub this July, hosting a multi-stage festival dedicated to independent radio and underground culture.
The Cause is leveraging its Docklands flagship for a new concept: New Frequency. Scheduled for Saturday, July 25, the one-day event pivots the focus toward the community-led broadcasters defining modern underground music.
The lineup draws a direct line between London and the global circuit. Confirmed partners include Refuge Worldwide (Berlin), Seoul Community Radio, and Bali’s Headstream, alongside domestic heavyweights Keep Hush and Voices Radio.
While the artist roster remains under wraps, the format is clear. Every stage will be recorded and live-streamed via a dedicated hub, mimicking the archival and broadcast nature of the stations invited.
Expect a mix of local champions and international collaborations across the site’s indoor and outdoor spaces. It’s a deliberate nod to the radio infrastructure that keeps DIY scenes solvent.
