Swedish House Mafia debuted their latest track, 'Happiness Is So Sad,' during their weekly residency at Ushuaïa Ibiza. The collaboration features vocals from Lykke Li and was officially announced for a July 31 release via social media.
The production credits list a significant Swedish talent pool, including Max Martin and Oscar Holter. Sebastian Ingrosso described the session as an attempt to form a "Swedish Avengers" team, combining the trio's expansive dance sound with Lykke Li’s unique vocal depth.
Lykke Li noted that the track’s development centered on balancing dark emotional melodies with dancefloor-ready riffs. The collaboration follows a busy year for SHM, which included a curated takeover at Ultra Miami and a recent apparel drop.
The trio’s Ushuaïa residency continues every Sunday through September 13.
