Unmasked presents: The Spiral Tribe Exhibition brings the archive of the UK's most notorious soundsystem to London this September.
Spiral Tribe’s countercultural footprint arrives at REinsTate for a four-day deep dive. Running September 16-19, the exhibition documents the collective's journey from Camden warehouse parties to the frontline of the free party movement.
Formed in the early '90s, the crew achieved infamy following the 1992 Castlemorton Common Festival. The subsequent legal battle against 13 members became a focal point for British rave history, costing £4 million and cementing their legacy as anti-establishment icons.
Curated by SP23 and the Unmasked label, the London residency features a free exhibition of archive visuals and photography. The schedule is bolstered by panel talks, workshops, and film screenings exploring the group’s evolution into an international arts collective.
The programme concludes with an SP23 rave and live sessions, marking a rare homecoming for the soundsystem after years of touring across Europe.
