Based on iconic 4K console hardware from Oxfordshire, Sonimus releases a successor to the Satson aimed at harmonic richness and mix glue.
Sonimus has launched S-Console, a digital recreation of the British 4K solid-state desk synonymous with 1980s studio production. It marks the next step for a developer already established for its N-Console and Satson emulations.
Built for three-dimensional imaging and punch, the plugin targets the specific harmonic saturation and summing characteristics of the original hardware. It is designed to provide 'glue' for individual tracks or the master bus without the sterile feel of standard digital summing.
The S-Console joins a specialized toolkit from Sonimus that includes emulations of vintage tube and British discrete consoles. It is currently available at an introductory price of $49.
