The electronic music community mourns Leticia van Riel, the LvR Management founder responsible for shaping the careers of ANNA, Sama’ Abdulhadi, and Miss Monique.
Leticia van Riel, one of the most respected managers in the global electronic scene, has died following a car accident in Ibiza. Through her firm, LvR Management, van Riel spent nearly two decades defining what hands-on artist development looks like, moving beyond logistics to become a vital creative partner for her roster.
From her early days at MN2S in London to her pivotal work with ANNA and Wehbba, van Riel was instrumental in the rise of Brazilian techno. Her approach was rooted in long-term mentorship, specifically through her LvR program aimed at supporting emerging talent across the industry.
Tributes have poured in from long-time collaborators and friends. Sama’ Abdulhadi, who van Riel co-managed for seven years, described her as family. ANNA noted that her own career would not have been possible without van Riel’s guidance. Both artists have cancelled upcoming appearances to grieve.
Van Riel’s legacy remains in the infrastructure she built for independent artists and the barrier-breaking careers she nurtured. Her absence leaves a significant void in the industry's executive ranks.
