Purple Disco Machine Pauses Tour Due to Sudden Hearing Loss

Tino Piontek has canceled all dates through mid-July after experiencing severe tinnitus and hearing complications.

Tino Piontek, better known as Purple Disco Machine, is stepping away from the booth for a month-long hiatus. The German artist revealed via Instagram that he is battling sudden hearing loss and a sharp intensification of his long-term tinnitus. While the producer has managed tinnitus for 25 years, recent complications have forced a total break from touring. All scheduled performances, including appearances in Mexico City and at Day Trip Festival in California, have been scrapped to allow for medical recovery. Piontek intends to return to the circuit in mid-July to launch his residency at Pacha Ibiza. It is a necessary reminder that the physical toll of high-decibel touring is real, even for seasoned professionals. Protecting ear health remains the most critical longevity move for anyone in the industry.
