Nia Archives teams up with Jorja Smith on a new jungle-led single ahead of her second LP of 2024.
Nia Archives has dropped ‘Get Me Down,’ featuring Jorja Smith. The Island Records release serves as the latest preview of her upcoming album, ‘Emotional Junglist,’ and marks the producer's first track to feature a guest vocalist.
Following her April debut ‘Silence Is Loud,’ this second project of the year indicates a rapid evolution. The track leans into Archives' established breakbeat foundations while utilizing Smith’s vocal range to anchor the melodic shift.
Beyond this collaboration, the forthcoming LP includes a feature from Sampha. It builds on a prolific 18-month run that saw Archives launch her Up Ya Archives imprint and secure her position as a central figure in the contemporary jungle revival.
‘Emotional Junglist’ is scheduled for release on July 24. It follows a string of previous singles including ‘Danger’ and ‘Vertical.’
