Parisian synth specialists Miltone have announced a part-for-part replica of the 1975 Oberheim Four Voice System.
Miltone, a Paris-based firm known for high-end vintage repair, is moving into production with the 4Exp. This is not a modern reimagining, but a strict part-for-part recreation of the 1975 Oberheim Four Voice System. The unit integrates four individual SEM modules into a single, hand-built chassis.
Creator Manfred Veber confirms the build uses authentic components where possible and modern equivalents only when necessary to preserve the original signal path. It aims to deliver the specific, unquantized character of mid-70s polyphony that software and modern clones often miss.
The 4Exp is available to order in either aluminum or classic Tolex finishes, with modules offered in beige or black. Deliveries are slated for late 2026.
At a starting price of €9,990 plus tax, this is a specialist tool meant for those who require the exact harmonic profile of the original FVS without the reliability risks of 50-year-old hardware.
