The South Beach basement staple is searching for a new home after four years of hosting jazz, cocktails, and international selectors.
Miami Beach's Medium Cool has announced the closure of its Gale Hotel basement location. Operating since 2023 under the direction of industry veterans like Dan Binkiewicz and David Martinez, the venue will officially shut its doors on August 22nd.
The space became a localized hub for both Miami residents and international talent. Beyond its regular rotation featuring Mike Deuce and Pazmal, it served as a key fixture for Miami Music Week programming and bookings like Nabihah Iqbal.
Management confirmed the move is a transition rather than an end, stating the brand is currently scouting a new physical home. Operating hours will continue as usual through the final weeks of August, maintaining the venue's focus on high-fidelity sound and cocktail culture until the final set.
Co-founder Joshua Wagner signaled a positive outlook on the exit, citing the city's reception of the concept over its four-year run. For now, the focus shifts to a month-long send-off in the existing space.
