A massive disused site in the Royal Docks becomes London’s latest large-scale dance space, featuring curators like Jamie Jones and Charlotte de Witte.
Ironworks is set to launch this October in the Royal Docks. The 7,000-capacity site, a collaboration between PROJEKT and LWE, repurposes a sprawling industrial warehouse for a month-long residency running through November 1.
The programming focus centers on six day-to-night takeovers. Opening duties fall to Jamie Jones, followed by sessions from Eric Prydz, CamelPhat, and an Ibiza-inflected Halloween showcase by Appetite. Charlotte de Witte is booked to close the initial run.
Beyond the main room, the venue includes an open-air terrace facing the Thames. Crucially, the space will also host an installation from the Museum of Youth Culture, providing historical context on the city’s warehouse legacy within the new development.
