Daley Padley returns to Knee Deep In Sound with a nine-track LP and a piano-driven rework of a 90s classic.
Hot Since 82 has confirmed his forthcoming album, 'Obsessions', arriving September 4 via his own Knee Deep In Sound imprint. The nine-track project stems from a period of personal introspection, marking what Padley describes as his most cohesive and finalized body of work to date.
The lead single 'Shaded' is out now. It centers on a rework of Shades of Rhythm’s 1991 anthem 'The Sound Of Eden', leaning into syncopated funk and heavy piano chords that have already become staples in his recent private and festival sets.
While this is his first solo release on the label since 2024, Padley has stayed prolific this year. Recent output includes collaborations with Silicone Soul on Armada and a double-single release for John Digweed’s Bedrock Records back in March.
