GORDO Closes First TARAKA Residency at Pacha Ibiza with Roger Sanchez, Gala & Abril Love

GORDO has brought the first TARAKA residency at Pacha Ibiza to a close, wrapping six weeks on the island with a packed final Tuesday alongside Roger Sanchez, Gala and Abril Love. The closing party on September 29 marked the end of TARAKA's debut season under the iconic Pacha cherries, following a run that brought a rotating cast of house and electronic names to the club each week. Across the six-week residency, GORDO was joined by artists including Vintage Culture, Patrick Topping, Nicole Moudaber and Shimza, with a series of B2Bs and special appearances helping shape TARAKA's first Ibiza chapter. Among GORDO's own highlights were the residency's opening night, an appearance from Bad Gyal, and his back-to-back sets with Shimza and Vintage Culture. Musically, the residency gave GORDO room to move beyond a fixed formula. His sets mixed his own catalogue with exclusive edits, unreleased music from friends and new material, while the changing weekly lineups gave each Tuesday a different character. Reflecting on the season, GORDO said he was proud of the identity TARAKA had established during its first summer at Pacha. “I'm proud that TARAKA has developed its own identity. Every Tuesday the energy kept growing, and that's the best feeling I could ask for.” He described the residency as an “unforgettable first season for TARAKA,” thanking the fans, artists and teams involved throughout the summer. TARAKA already existed as GORDO's international event concept before arriving in Ibiza, but the six-week run represented a significant new chapter for the series, giving it a recurring home at one of the island's most established clubs. The residency also extended beyond the dancefloor through a limited-edition GORDO x Pacha Ibiza TARAKA T-shirt, released as part of The Pacha Collection during the season. For GORDO, the closing night caps another major Ibiza summer and the first full season of TARAKA Tuesdays at Pacha. Whether the concept returns to the cherries for another run remains to be seen, but its debut has now established TARAKA as part of the island's increasingly competitive residency landscape.
