A new initiative from the Trans Creative Collective and We Are Moving The Needle brings production workshops to London’s most iconic studio.
Fred again.. joins Trans+ Future Sounds this Friday at Abbey Road Studios for a production workshop tailored for trans and queer creators. The 2.5-hour session is part of a broader launch by the Trans Creative Collective (TCC) and Emily Lazar’s We Are Moving The Needle.
The workshop lineup includes MESSIE, Sans Soucis, and Satch, alongside TCC co-founder charlieeeee. The programming covers songwriting, technical production, and community-focused networking, moving beyond surface-level inclusion to provide direct access to high-end recording environments.
Data from the Fix The Mix report highlights the necessity of the project, noting that women, trans, and non-binary individuals account for only 2.3% of producers. This series aims to bridge that gap through consistent mentorship and resource sharing through 2026.
Entry is free via registration on Instagram. While the event is open to all genders, creators from the trans and queer community are being given priority access.
