The British audio mainstay updates its flagship line with structural improvements and heightened resolution across seven new models.
To celebrate their 60th anniversary, Bowers & Wilkins has launched the 800 Series Diamond D5. This update to their flagship range includes the 805 D5 stand-mount, three floorstanding iterations, and the top-tier 801 D5, alongside two center-channel units for cinema builds.
The engineering focus centers on a revised chassis, featuring new top plates, spines, and plinths designed to minimize resonance. B&W claims these structural changes, paired with updated drive unit pods, deliver lower distortion and wider dynamics compared to previous generations.
Cabinet aesthetics come in four finishes: Stealth Black, Warm White, Light Walnut, and Dark Walnut. The hardware is built for those prioritizing transparency and surgical spatial imaging in dedicated listening environments.
Units hit the market September 9th. Pricing reflects the high-end positioning, scaling from £8,000 for center channels up to £43,000 for the 801 D5 floorstanders.
