Armin van Buuren and Silver Panda deliver a club-ready interpretation of 'Enjoy the Silence', moving the 1990 synth-pop staple into modern festival territory.
Armin van Buuren has joined forces with Silver Panda to tackle one of synth-pop’s most sacred relics: Depeche Mode’s 'Enjoy the Silence'. Released via Armada Music, the collaboration reimagines the 1990 'Violator' standout for the mainstage.
The rework arrived after months of rotation in van Buuren’s festival sets, appearing at Ultra, EDC Las Vegas, and several A State of Trance stops. It trades the moody minimalism of the original for aggressive synth lines and high-output production.
While tackling a track this iconic is always a gamble, the version focuses on the vocal hook's enduring power, designed strictly for the singalong moments of a specialized trance or house set.
This release follows van Buuren’s recent 25th-anniversary celebrations for his ASOT brand, as he prepares to bring his flagship festival to the US for its debut edition.
