Less than a year after occupying the former De School site, Tilla Tec will shutter its multi-use space following a final run of events this fall.
Tilla Tec is ending its tenure at Dr. Jan van Breemenstraat. The Amsterdam venue, which launched shortly after De School’s closure in early 2024, confirmed via social media that its final parties are scheduled for November.
The 900-capacity space operated as more than a club. By integrating a community center, workplace, and restaurant, it served as a critical experimental anchor for the city’s queer and creative circuits.
Existing programming continues through the summer with sets from Sandrien, Carista, and CEM. While Tilla Tec will participate in this year’s ADE, November marks the definitive conclusion of the project.
No replacement tenant has been named for the building. For now, the focus shifts to a final marathon series to close out the chapter.
