A compact alternative to the CDJ-3000X, the 1500X brings flagship specs and a smaller footprint to home booths and tight spaces.
AlphaTheta is shrinking its flagship kit. The new CDJ-1500X adopts the core internals of the CDJ-3000X—including the 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen, eight Hot Cue buttons, and onboard Wi-Fi—but repackages them for smaller environments.
Practical updates include an illuminated front bay housing both USB-C and USB-A ports to keep drives protected. The display software is also more granular, now highlighting vocal positions, BPM shifts, and phrase structures directly on the waveform.
This unit serves as the debut for CoBeat, a new interactive service that uses QR codes to let audiences send requests or reactions during a set. Cosmetic options remain flexible with 12 customizable LED color profiles.
At $1,599, the 1500X sits as a mid-tier power player, following the brand's recent DJM-V5 and RMX-IGNITE releases.
