A.G. Cook and Native Instruments Launch SuperStarSaw

Native Instruments has released SuperStarSaw, a collaboration with A.G. Cook that codifies the producer’s signature detuned aesthetic. Far from a basic wave-shaper, the plug-in utilizes two independent 16-saw oscillator banks designed to replicate the dense, euphoric textures found across Cook's production discography. The interface is centered on a four-corner X/Y Morpher, allowing for fluid interpolation between distinct patch states. Integrated chord, scale, and quantization tools process the output, alongside dedicated chorus and spatial effects units aimed at recreating the high-velocity sound of the UK's neo-pop movement. Cook developed the instrument through his own session work, aiming for a tool that yields unpredictable results beyond standard presets. It marks a significant technical bridge between experimental sound design and commercial electronic production standards. SuperStarSaw is available now for $99. It supports VST, AU, and AAX formats on macOS and Windows, with native integration for NI's Kontrol and Maschine hardware.
